SAS SEPT 2025

School of Acting for the Screen

The School of Acting for the Screen Actors and School of Digital Filmmaking Trainees directors team up to tell stories that are relevant and appealing to today’s audience. Get a chance to influence the film industry with ethical principles. Although both courses will work together at times both will look at relevant and different aspects within their chosen field as below.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Actors have an opportunity to have leading and supporting roles in the short films produced by the writers and filmmakers in the School of Film, giving them a practical application of all that is learned in class. Therefore trainees will walk out of the course with several short films which may be used in their demo reel.

INCLUDED IN THIS COURSE

Through excellent tutoring, workshops and lectures done by seasoned professionals, the trainees will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of different acting techniques and which one is better for them as actors.

They will also learn to break down a script and build a character, how to be aware and control their body and physicality in order to portray characters from all walks of life. They will also learn the history of acting, theatre and cinema and how to analyse movies and the difference between acting for stage and screen.

It also explores integrity issues and the challenges this media presents. The course gives special consideration to the personal character development and spiritual growth of each actor.
